Unless you are a muzzle loader recycling lead, you should not need to be concerned pertaining lead exposure. Don't eat, drink, or smoke after handling ammunition or firing your weapon, prior to washing hands. After going to the firing range, you can change your clothes, bagging what you wore while shooting, and keep bagged until you wash it. Don't leave dirty hunting clothes or firing range clothes where kids can play in them and you will prevent exposure to lead or, animal bacteria etc. from butchering activities.
FYI you can check online to find natural occurrences of asbestos in various regions of country....important for folks who have kids and bike, motircycle, horseback ride etc. on dirt roads where asbestos deposits are present

That's not a bad idea to ask a female police officer. I should say this, I'm only looking to get my permit test which requires 1 class. After that u would probably wait to get more practice in until after. Reason being is that I'm moving in the next few months and you cannot apply once you move to a new residency for some time. But I appreciate you point of view and will actually look into talking to my local police office.

It's obv your call but I'm not sure I would risk that.  Lead crosses the placenta and there's no way to shield baby from the loud noise.  Once baby is born you could get special hearing protection but before hand the gun range seems like it would be way too loud.  It's only 40 weeks without it. I think I'd skip it but again--your call.   Do you know any female police officers?   You could ask them about firearms while pregnant--like what does OSHA say?

I'm in my 3rd and still go hunting I wanted her to be used to the sound of a gun. My family does a lot of hunting and I want her to as well. I'm not a girly girl so I'd like to do things with her that won't drive me nuts lol

I have one and I was worried about not being able to go to the shooting range. I asked my Dr and she said it was fine. I haven't gone yet but I would like to.
