Disappointed

I just had my ob visit, I'm 38 weeks today, had dr check my cervix hoping to be 2-3 centimeters dilated but I just found out I am completely closed...... What can I do to speed up the process!?

For my first baby, at 37 weeks I was not dilated at all! Doctor said I had plenty of time. I delivered 4 days later. Do not fret. It can hapoen really fast!

Staying active is the easiest way to help your body speed things up. I also did acupuncture and it seemed to do the trick for me. If you're not afraid of needs is a safe thing to give a shot as long as you go to a reputable facility.

Some women will open up in a matter of hours. Don't stress if you're closed. When baby is ready, they'll let you know ;)

I was told I'm completely close, which I don't understand since last week I was told I was 1centimeter dilated and 50%effaced. I didn't know that was even possible

If it's completely close u can't do anything but wait til baby is ready unless u want to get enduced or a membrane sweep. U can walk alot but while it helps with the uncomfort it won't make u dialate unless baby is ready. So does having sex and all the natural things. They only work when ur abt to go into labour already
