High Hcg and progesterone

So I know I really just have to wait for my ulttrasound in a few weeks and that everyone is different, etc. I just can't help but ask this question.

At 17 days past my IUI my hcg was 1305 and my progesterone was 91! I know hcg levels can be all over the place and mine were high during a pregnancy that ended up in a miscarriage earlier this year but I'm a bit freaked out over the progesterone. Happy it's high of course but as I took clomid and had at least 2 follicles that were big enough to drop an egg, I'm wondering if there's more than one baby.

I know that higher than average hcg and progesterone levels happen with with multiples and I'm not worried about a molar pregnancy (can't worry about everything!). Here's my question:

I heard that you can have really high progesterone levels in early pregnancy if you dropped more than one egg but that doesn't mean that more than one egg implanted. Could that be what's going on with me?

Anyone else have such high progesterone and only have 1?

Amy

I'm honestly not sure what my progesterone levels were in early pregnancy.  I was on supplments so my OB didn't test them...or if she did, she didn't ever tell me the results.

I do know that clomid increases progesterone, so perhaps that is it?  Or of course it could be 2.  Time will tell, and I wish you all the best in your pregnancy.

Take care and good luck!!
