I'm cure 36 weeks pregnant and I got a McDonald cerclage done at 23.6 weeks. I also get a weekly progesterone shot. I haven't had any bleeding, cramping with it. Also my dr has me on moderate bed rest as well. I am counting down, 4 more weeks! I wish you the best!

I am 38 and i had a cerclurge done in my 3rd month and my doctor put me on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy. I also had to take progesterone once a day as well because i had a preterm at 16 weeks and one eptopic pregnancy and one of my tubes was removed. after that so i was high risk. My son was due july 10, 2014 and i delivered him early at about 31 weeks, may 8, 2014. He was a little over two months premature and stayed in the nicu for about 2 months. He went through the cerclurge without damaging my cervix or breaking the stitch. He is now a little over 9 months and doing excellent. You will be fine just take easy and do exactly what ur doctor tells u.

I didn't have a cerclage, but I have the progesterone injections to prevent pre term labor from 16-36 weeks. It has worked for me. I did have a daughter born at 23 weeks, who survived. I'm 37 weeks now and no signs of baby coming soon.

Not personally, but a good friend did...she'd also had a history of pre term labor. Her son turned 1 in December :)
He was still early, but it gave them some extra, critical time before he was born. Good luck!
