I don't remember this!

Hello Ladies :)

I just need some sympathy. I am 34 weeks pregnant and this is my 2nd pregnancy. My little girl is very active at times ans it feels like she is trying to push her way out of my uterus through my bellybutton!  I mean golly gee she pushes so hard it stops me in my tracks! I don't remember this kind of discomfort with my first pregnancy at all. my son was also very active but I don't recall his movements being painful.  Have I just forgotten this part of pregnancy or what? Is anyone else experiencing this with their own little black belt in training? thanks for letting me vent... ;P

ha ha! I think you all are correct. especially the selective memory part! we have to forget or else everyone would be an only child....I mean we really are crazy to put our bodies through this more than once. :)  and I am carrying differently too. my placenta is low and on the opposite side of my uterus than my 1st pregnancy which is great because it will be far away from my c-section incision.  thanks for the laughs ladies I feel so much better now!

Aloha!

Honestly, I really think that we block out some of the most unpleasant parts of pregnancy...otherwise, the human race would die off because we'd NEVER do this again. LOL.

I have noticed, though, that all babies seem to have different movement patterns. My first was a "roller". She moved a lot, but it was more of a rolling motion. I used to get a kick out of watching my belly kind of morph into different shapes. My second was more of the kicker...I carried him high, and he'd get his little feet up in my ribs and kick me some good ones that took my breath away! This one, I call my "squirmer." He doesn't really kick hard too often, but he squirms. At every ultrasound, he's had his hands over his head, wiggling his fingers...it feels like I have a bunch of worms in my lower abdomen! Very strange.

Also...I've notice myself and my doctor said that the position you're carrying in has a lot to do with how you experience the movement. My first two kids were "sunnyside up", so they were facing outward. I seemed to feel much more movement with them. With this one, he's face back (like they're supposed to be) and so I don't feel too many kicks.

Anyway...34 weeks...it will be over soon! Good luck!

I feel your pain too!! I am 32 weeks pregnant with another boy and I am really thinking that this little man is going to punch his way out of me!!!! My hubby and I just laugh because at times you can see body parts sticking out of  my belly. I am pretty sure I have internal bruises!!!!!!  My first son was crazy too, but not like this!!!!!

As much as it hurts it always comforts me to know that he is okay!!!!!  So, sit back and pray that your belly button does not explode !!!

LOL, I am!!  I'm 35 weeks, and this is my 2nd pregnancy too, and with a girl!  My first was a boy.  I was just commenting to my husband over the past couple weeks how active and strong her kicks and punches are...nothing like my son's.  And, she's active almost all day long!  My son was active, but not like this...she's got her black belt too!  I have no complaints, I'm happy she's so active.  Good luck in the reamainder of your pregnancy!  Pam
