Are there any CANADIAN gals on this website?

** BABY'S SEX/GENDER**

I am very early in my pregnancy and very excited about it, as this will be my first child. As I get close to the delivery time I want to find out the sex/gender of my child so that I can buy appropriate clothes, toys and prepare a room for the baby according to his/her gender.

Now, my question is when do doctor's in Canada reveal sex/gender of the baby?  How many weeks do I have to be pregnant before doctor reveals the sex/gender?

Thank you

Thank you. I didn't know that. I am so ignorant. I need to learn a lot about pregnancy and baby caring. This will be my first baby :-)

Canadian right here :)
You usually find out the gender of your baby around 16-20 weeks. However, the later you find out the better. I know some parents who were told initially there were having a girl and then after 7 months a boy.
