My sister had a healthy baby girl at 40 and my own re had one at 43 - both conceived naturally. There are several women on this forum who've been blessed w/children after 40; however, not to sound like a downer but fertility just declines after 40 and 42 & the rate of miscarriage increases unfortuantely. In my opinion, contact a reproductive endocrinoligst soon if you haven't already - he/she can properly evaluate your situation and get you that healthy baby sooner rather than later.
Thank you for your positive attitudes. It's just what I needed to hear!
I'm 40 and I will be 41 at the delivery of this child. I'm now almost 23 weeks and everything seems to be going fine. Prior I had 4 miscarriage, but never gave up, because I knew in my heart my husband and I would be blessed with a healthy baby. Just keep trying and don't give up and it will happen if it's meant to be.
Have fun trying and good luck!
You know I just love that positive attitude. Never give up!!!
I am 39, will be 40 in January. 4 m/c as well and trying again now. (all naturally conceived) My OB tells me its just bad luck, and there is no reason not to quit trying. I know, I am scared too but keep trying. You'll get there!!
I want to keep trying but each mc seemed to be that much tougher both physically and mentally. It had to be very hard for you to have two within such a short time frame. Let's hope we all have good luck the next time around.
Thanks! I'm going to wait until after my vacation in November and will try again. I hope I have the same results as you did!
Hi, I know 2 people over 40 who have had their first babies recently. One was 40 and the other 42. Good luck. I have 1 son who is 17 months but recently had a m/c and an ectopic pregnancy within 11 weeksof each other !!!! I still feel that I can get pregnant and the secret I guess is to keep going.
Me! No miscarriages. Became pregnant at 42, I have a healthy, beautiful 18 month old boy!
