Brown Vaginal Discharge

Has anyone experienced this and been pregnant?  how heavy was the brown blood at teh start of your pregnancy?  I'm due AF today and i think it may still come but normally by now it's red and heavy woth clots.  I'm getting a few cramps but only when i sit down and i'm so hungry.  I really don't think i'm pregnant as i got a BFP this morning but i would like to hear some peopls opinions on this.  Thanks Again

Well, anytime you have unprotected sex pregnancy is certainly possible.  The only way to know for certain is a home pregnancy test and/or bloodwork from your Dr. Good luck to you.

My husband is in another country, and due to my visa running out, i had to return the the US.  The last time we had sex was Oct. 14th.  Since then I have had 2 spotting-like periods that have both came on odd days and for the last week I have had breasts that are so tender I cant even sleep on my belly! lol  I also have been having acne unlike I have ever had before.....Could I be pregnant?  I really hope so because we are newlyweds (Oct.2) and I would really love to give him this news before I return back to his country so we can enjoy it together!

I'm definitely pregnant but have this problem, too. It's just a small bit each day, but enough that I have to wear a thin pad or else my undies get dirty. I don't have any pain or cramping, but the little bit of brown spotting has been going on for about 10 days now - pretty much since I got my positive pregnancy test (which was almost a week after I missed my period - I just didn't take the test until then). It's annoying and I'm really hoping that it doesn't end up meaning I'll miscarry. I have my first doctor's appointment (with ultrasound!) in two weeks, so I'm looking forward to getting some questions answered then. In the meantime, I keep looking on these online forums for signs that others experienced the same thing and were fine. I find them, which is really reassuring! :) Thanks to all of you who posted your stories.

Sometimes it can be such a struggle.  I'm glad your trying other options, we are so lucky to live in a time where we have choices like that.  Good luck, and we are all rooting for you!!

Sorry guys i meant a BFN yesterday morning, but not to worry AF arrive in full flow today all i know is when i do fall pregnant i probably won't have nay symptoms at all.

My partner and i have been tested for fertility issues and we've both come back clear.  My progesterone level on day 21 of my my cycle was at 41 which as far as i know is really good.

We're going to try preseed for a few cycles it can't hurt to try before we go onto the IVF waiting list in April 2010.  Thanks again for the comments folks much appreciated

Mom, I think she meant BFN.  I had brown and red bleeding the whole first trimester.  Problem with it is that it can mean AF is on it's way as well.  Good luck, I hope this is your month!

I'm confused...are you or are you not pregnant. You said AF was due and you thought it would still come. Then you said you got a BFP this morning.

I also had some brown-ish discharge at the beginning of all my pregnancies. But it was quickly followed by pinkish/red which all turned into miscarriages.

Are you on any progesterone?  I understand that the suppositories can cause brownish discharge.  Are you having any severe cramping other than when sitting or due to hunger.

Perhaps a visit to the doctor to check beta levels might be good. They should be able to draw at this time and see if the levels are increasing appropriately.  You'll need at least two different draws that are two days apart for comparison.

I had a LOT of brown discharge when I was pregnant at the very beginning. But there was NO red whatsoever...just brown discharge, and kind of a jelly-ish consistency. TMI, I know...lol. But it happened until I was about six weeks, then stopped.

Well, for me anytime I bled anything, it was not good;-/  BUT, I KNOW for  A LOT of women, it's very normal.  Unfortunately right now all you can do is hope & pray, remember it's not in your hands;)
Good luck;o)
