Miscarried twice in a roll..

Hi Im 41 turning 42 next month.. I have had 2 miscarriages one  at 9wks baby never formed... Dr said that it never had a heart beat.. Then I got  preg 5 months later and miscarried again at 18wks with my son Alex... I went in for a normal dr apt.. They could not find a heart beat... So I ended up having to delivery him...  They did testing and everything came back normal... Everyone one thinks im crazy for wanting to try again b/c of having 2 miscarriages in  roll and b/c of my age... I know there is women out there having babys at my age but has anyone gone thou 2 miscarrages and end up with a healthy baby...

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, I had 3 of them myself each occuring around the same time 3 years in a row. At the beginning of this year we got our fourth Postive Pregnancy Test, but his time the pregnancy has survived and as of today I am 35 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl who is scheduled to arrive on Sept 28th via c-section. I will be 43 on October 21.

This is your decision. Good Luck to you.

Sorry, have to add...people also thought I was crazy.  I heard all sorts of hurtful comments, although they were trying to be helpful.  I am so very glad I didn't listen. This is between you and your partner.  If you want to have a baby, then keep moving forward!

I'm so sorry.  Yes, I went through 5 in a row. All first trimester in my case. My 6th pregnancy went full term and he is now 7 months.  I had him one week before my 41st birthday.  I too went through all sorts of testing and no reason was ever found.  It's hard, but it can and does happen.  There have been many women on here throughout the years with similar stories.  As my OB said, if you are still getting pregnant, you can carry a full term baby. Hang in there, I know its tough, but it can and does happen!

So sorry about your miscarriages, delivering your son so soon must have been so hard!

I have had 3 miscarriages, but not as advanced as 18 weeks. The 3rd one I was carrying twins that stopped 'living' at 7 and 8 weeks, and that was very very hard. But I did get pregnant again 10 months later and recently had a very healthy son at 41.5 years old (1st baby).

So yes, it's entirely possible that you'll have a healthy baby, don't give up if this is your choice!
