I hear the ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor is pretty good. Just got it. A little expensive but I do not want the difficulties of trying to read lines.
OPK's do have a time limit. After about 5 minutes you will get a thin blue evap line. You should only read the test within a specified time interval (there should be instructions with your test sticks). I used clear blue easy for many years and they worked great for me.
Good luck!
i agree that the digitals are easier but expensive. i used the cheap kind Answer and they worked fine. i never had a problem with the test line going different colors and gettign thin.
but yes the tests are not supposed to be read after like 10 minutes cause the lines can change, evaporated lines can occur.
'I have tried using those OPK's where you have to see if one line is turning darker than the other, and honestly, gave up. I use the clearblue easy digital one now, and it is so clear. If you are having your LH surge, it gives you a smiley face. If not, a blank circle.
That being said, I still have some of the type you have, and it says to read your result after 3 minutes. It also says that after 10 minutes to disregard any changes.
I am not sure exactly how you are using these, but I can also tell you the first 2 months I tried them, I just peed on them. I was always getting a negative. After that, I tried using a clean styrefoam cup, peeing in that, and dipping it in instead. I started getting much better results.
I hope this info helps, and again, I can tell you that I have gotten pregnant 3 times using the clear blue digital, it is just so much easier to use. I wish you lots of luck in getting a BFP!!
