I ovulated this morning.. how long does it last?

I used a strip at about 10 this morning and it was positive for ovulation and i had the cm to go with it. I had cramps and pain in the left ovary. We bd'd last night at about 4 and will this afternoon around the same time. Is there a chance I just completely missed my chance of getting pregnant?

Yay!!!  Love those positive ovulation tests.  If you have been testing daily and this is your first positive, most women will ovulate anywhere between 12 to 72 hours after your positive. Ovulation strips test for LH surge, they don't actually pinpoint the moment of ovulation.  LH surge typically peaks prior to ovulation, not during. The average is about 36 hours.  And actually, bd'ing the day before your positive is great...for those of us with regular cycles, it's recommended.  I highly doubt you missed it.  Good luck to you, hope this is your month!

no, the OPK tests are designed to let you know when you are ovulating these show up just before you ovulate and so long as you have had intercourse just before and during ovulation you have the higher chance of becoming pregnant. I don't think you have missed it! I wish you luck and I hope you get your sticky bean! :) x

Yep, I would give it another shot tomorrow as well.  Typically, bding the day before your positive, the day of and the day after are really good bets.  Good luck ladies!!!  SSBD
