Pregnancy over 40

I'm 43 and trying to have a second child.   I'm very nervous about possible side affects for me and possible new baby.   Any comments?

Thank you.   I am excited.   I had my first at 40 and wasn't going to have another.  It took 20 years to get pregnant with him. Good luck to you and thank you for the support.

I'm almost 41 and it took 14 years to have a second! I'm currently 20 weeks with the second. I'm finding myself more tired than the first but I wouldn't say that I'm in the best shape. I've done all of the tests so far and all clear. Go for it and best of luck to you!

Good for you and exciting! I'd say just get knowledgeable and prepare yourself..talk to your doctor about your concerns.
