Sandi' B-day
Hey ya'll - it's Sandi's big 39th b-day (38yroldprego) & she's pretty excited about it! We've all enjoyed her poem about Cooper & she's sweet person so wish her a happy b-day - jen

I really thought it was kind of a funny anecdote NOW. I sure didn't then though. My daughter can't resist talking about it to everyone. Which reminds me of ANOTHER anecdote. Last January when I was 6 months pregnant and shopping at a dept store, a clerk who was helping me asked my dh and I if we were shopping for our grandchild. Wade said she wasn't really paying attention & that I wasn't that big even for 6 months pg.
I said nonsense! Maybe I should invest some $$ into good skin care products?? I use good stuff - or so I thought............At the mall in Seattle, the sale people at the skin care kartels kept coming up to me and asking me if I wanted more info about their products. I finally said No, thank you & if I were so interested, I would be visiting their place of business and to please leave me and my bad skin ALONE.

When we boarded the plane last Thursday, my 15 year old daughter was with me and I had the baby in my arms. The flight attendant looked at me and asked me, "Grandma, do you need some help to get to the seat?". I said, "Eeeeeexxxxccccuuuussseee me??". He repeated his stupid question. I then said, "No thanks, great Grandpa. I can make it just fine w/MY baby - he's mine by the way."
The guy turned beet red (as he should). What a slap in the face. I'm sure I'll be a grandma in the next few years but the remark did kind of hurt my feelings. My daughter got a good laugh over it though.
