can i be forced to do a dna test?

Hey ladies. My hubby and i split up in december of 2011 in february i started seeing someone else but stopped in the last week of feb. My hubby and i moved back in with eachother in march. I found out i was pregnant in april and my due date is december 10 putting my conceptiob date march 19th. Well the other guy told his mom i was pregnant and was hurt because i refused contact with him. So his mom started harassing us and my hubby and i just hot restraining orders granted against her she was acting so.crazy. Now she has stated her lawyer is filing against me for dna testing.....can she/her son do this!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel violated and to have someone draw blood from my baby without my consent is making my blood boil. I have a document from my dr stating my conception date and i.have documents from bloodwork done from march.5th which ruled out pregnancy. What in the heck should i do? Is this even possible!!!!

I would say no more nice woman! Lol! You have tried to show her its not her grandbaby. Just move on with your life as normal as possible. Thankfully you were able to get a restraining order to keep her away till baby is born. If a judge does issue it (which I doubt very highly) smile and say its your $ u r wasting! Then when the results come in tell her to NEVER contact you or your family again.

Well hubby knows its his just like i do. I havent kept him in the dark about anything! He said he wants to be on the BC and hes signing it. So i have no idea what the judge will wanna do seeing as though there is a father claiming the baby lol but she can spend all she wants. I was trying to be nice by giving over my medical records showing my bloodwork and conception date to save her the $$$  but my niceness is running thin

Sounds like this guys mom is a whacko and her son isn't man enough to stand up to her. Unless he wants the test, (state deciding as it varies), no judge is going to make u do a DNA test if the potential father doesn't want it. But I personally would say agree to it and then YOU and your Hubby push for her son to get the test (at their expense) so they can NEVER pull this junk again, later on. OR if the crazy woman does drop this ridiculous child's play I would have hubby get a DNA test just in case for later if they try this again. Then u can laugh send em a copy. Proving its hubby's baby :-) this situation ***** no one should have to get a restraining order over an exs mom. But u will get thru this. Good luck and feel free to msg me any time :)

I feel better knowing they do a cheek swab. I live in Maryland. in court she said our lawyer so her and her son are doing this i guess? But he messaged me on fb after i asked him to have his mom leave me alone and he told me he was glad the baby wasnt his! Im sure my dr will print out and sign my papers for court!

If your doctor is willing to give those documents to the crazy persons lawyer then that should solve it. It does vary state to state on parent/grandparent rights. Also for DNA testing they would wait till the baby is born then swab its inner cheeck. Rarely do they draw blood for such a thing and also rarely will they do an amniocentesis to decide paternity. Sounds like without a doubt your hubby is dad to this baby. So let crazy woman waste her or her sons $$ if it will make them go away forever. Those things aren't cheap. But once it says no they legally HAVE to leave u alone.
