A termination is out of the question for many reasons mainly my faith. My husband and kids are happy l am frightened but very happy.  It my mum dad brother and sister are gonna be annoyed, my sister said l was far to old to have more after my nearly 5 year old.l want positive support from my church family though. 38 years old and pregnant with my 6th. 3 high-schoolers and 2 preschoolers. I told my boss before I told my mom & sister because of their negativity in the past. Just told them today and it went surprisingly well. I'm not the 19 year old girl who had to tell them i was pregnant 18 years ago with my new boyfriend's baby  :) My first husband and I have three awesome kids and now im lucky enough to have 3 with my husband. Life hasn't turned out exactly how I had pictured- its better :) Stay positive and your family may surprise you! If they don't support you, screw them :)

I'm expecting my seventh and 39. I'll be forty when I deliver and haven't a clue how to announce our little blessing. I'm thinking just show up at a normal family get together and have my youngest in a T-shirt that say;  I'm going to be a big sister or I can't wait to be a big sister and see how everyone responds.  Who asks the question first.  My third child I sent out cards to all our family members(each card different, chosen specially for that individual or family). I sent them from a different town and had all the return addresses as the senders address therefore no matter what they would get them. The funny thing was that they would all ask each other; and of course I had to pretend as if I received one as well. About two weeks in and they had come to the conclusion that I had to be the one. It was fun and comical and we all still talk about it when we find out someone is expecting. I tied an 'I love my auntie' T-shirt to a bunch if pink helium balloons wrapped them inside a huge box filled with bricks and bells and random other noisy items for my sisters 30th birthday party. She begged me to find out the gender as a birthday gift once she found out we wanted to be surprised. I come from a family with eight children and she was childless and lived for her two nieces and eight nephews. She was so excited. She still says it's the best present she ever received, even better than that cabbage patch doll that my parents had her believe she wouldn't ever get back in the 80's due to them being sold out and no one would get one until after Christmas.  I still get chills just thinking of her reaction.

My friend had her last baby at 46. I'm not sure why you thought your to old to conceive though. Some woman don't go through menopause until mid 50's. I would announce in an exciting way and tell them how excited you are and that everyone's positive response would be great for your last baby.
