Ladies, I have to join the club!  I guess since we're all almost full-term it's what's to be expected.  Teresa - your description (pain in the booty) is very apt - i couldn't describe it better, let me tell you.  I too am having them frequently & sometimes it feels like gas pains (the nasty kind).  Some of them probably ARE gas pains, who knows??

yea.. mine have gotten lower too.. almost like you fill the muscle in your butt.. contracting.. yelp.. thats it..

ashleysmom.. I dont think its a sharp pain.. atleast mine isnt.. to me it fills like a muscle cramp... only inside of your belly and low. I have had the belly tighting high befor.. early on.. but now they are lower and longer.. now I do get a sharp pain like in my pelvic bone.. lol.. sometimes it fills like its going to split open.. but it to goes away and I dont fill it that often. concider yourself lucky if you dont fill them.. I didnt with my dd either. nothing like this one atleast..

great info.. guys.. thanks

Oh god ladies do I ever have them! I can't even go to the grocery store anymore without stopping a zillion times to *breathe breathe*.. today I have been noticing that the pain is getting lower in my whohaa as if maybe I am dialating more? Could be, who knows!! My doctor told me that if they aren't consistent then not to worry. HA!! Tell a pregnant woman not to worry is like putting an icecream cone in front of a dog and telling it NO... ahaha

You know, I don't know if I've had them or not.  In the past two days, I've had a sharp pain or two in my upper abdomen, on one side.  Only three or four.  Does that sound like a contraction?  I've also had some pressure down lower, but it lasts like a half hour or so...

I'm almost 34 weeks.

Yep, me, me, me!!  I mentioned them at my appt. Wed and he just said, yeah, all the action when your husband is out of town. No advice, nothing, he is sooo funny. He just said I wouldn't stop you if you went into labor. HUH? at 34 weeks, whatever. And then how do you like this..I told my girlfriend, whom is friends w/my dr., well more like acquaintances and she said, oh it must be a girl, huh? Assuming my dr. would let me go early knowing it was a girl. That kinda pi$$ed me off. #1 my dr. has no clue nor do I the sex. It's like she wanted to spoil the surprise if she could. Maybe I'm just hormonal  :(

I get them more often if I'm busy during the day and forgetting to drink enough water. Staying hydrated really does help.

I have been getting them a lot lately too.  Especially if I am up walking around a lot!  Feels almost like I have gas pains or am getting a serious case of diarrhea!!  mine have been painful, but only last 15-30 seconds, and usually only a few an hour!!

it's perfectly normal.  Some days I have them more than others.  I think my doctor told me that if it's more than 10 an hour then maybe you should call just to make sure.  Last saturday it was one on top of the other..and they were really uncomfortable.  I was freaking out a lil bit! It was late and I decided to go to bed and they stopped. The nurse told me that if you're tired, stressed out or anything, they'd come more often.  Trick is to relax I guess!  :)  Plus, delivery day is coming fast so our uterus is just practicing more.
