Short cervix what to do????

I'm 5 months pregnant and I was just told that I have a short cervix does a cerclage help

Ive had cerclages with all my kids it works

Well, hopefully you do well on the progesterone. I'd limit estrogenic foods as well as that can inhibit your natural progesterone production. Eat foods that help progesterone production as well. It helps prevent miscarriage chemically. Interesting that it treats short cervix too.

I did some research and have read that is the most common treatment. My mother had that as well (I had no idea!)

A Short cervix? I am not sure I have heard of this, what does your doc recommend?

For the moment I'm using progesterone that they gave me but the doctor said to come back in two weeks to see how it's working and if it's not I do the cerclage

I've heard that it can help... Did the Dr give you that and any other options?

Yes it's where they stitch my cervix to make sure my baby stays up
