Small Me Small Baby

Hello everyone, Happy New Year!
So I had a ultrasound today and they informed me that everything is normal pretty much except the fact that my daughter is small, she's roughly around 5 pounds and I'm officially full term today at 37 weeks. I was wondering if this is sorta normal being that I'm small myself at 5'2 and 113lbs before I was pregnant. I've gained up to 144lbs which is mostly baby weight. They're sending me to a specialist to see why she's not growing any bigger. She's moving around alot though. Have anyone else been through this? Should I be worried?

OK so now they've decided to induce me a week early due to growth restriction or something... Its bitter sweet I must say but at least I get to see my little angel sooner:-)

Also keep in mind ultrasounds are not 100% accurate they can be off up to a pound.

Sweet! thanks all of you for informing me of your similar cases. I'm totally at ease now knowing that more than likely she'll still be healthy ^_^! I have 16 more days for my little angel's arrival!!! Can't wait!

I am only a small person too, 43 kg, 95lbs?? All 3 of my babies were small, and i had growth scans starting from 32 weeks for all of them. They were all healthy, my two sons were 4lb 14oz, and 5lb 13oz!! My daughter was 6 weeks premature and weighed 4lb, so not sure what she would've been had she gone full term. And they all said, because i am only a small person, it was highly unlikely I would of had large babies. I reached 121 pounds with my last baby born at 39 weeks!!

I'm in the same boat my baby is small too. I'm 33wks3days and he is measuring 3lbs 9oz. He is fine just small me and my siblings were small and my husband was small. My daughter is 20 yrs old now and she was 5 lbs at 40 wks and she turned out fine. I do take blood pressure meds so it has a lot to do with him being small too. I'm getting induced at either 34wks or 35wks. Everything will be fine I'll be praying for you. Congratulations

My first child was only 6lbs 1oz, born at 39 weeks. And my friends little boy was 5 lbs 11oz at 39 weeks. She will gain quite a bit over the next few of weeks. Also, sometimes they are off with the measurements. I was told my baby was a pound heavier a wee before she was born.  I wouldn't stress about it.
