8weeks just had heart rate spiked SVT.

I'm 36yrs just turned 8 weeks today. A few days ago went to the hospital with heart rate at 222 . Staying in the 200 EKG they said that it's SVT had to give me medication to bring it back down to normal range. Stay in the hospital for a couple of days to be monitored and have Echo done, said that it looks like I may have a circuit issue with my heart.  It could have been triggered by the pregnancy, may happen again but they don't know. Since it being my first episode may just watch it to see if it happens again. Possibly be put on beta blockers while pregnant if it keeps occurring. I've always had high risk pregnancy normally anyways with prematurity an abruption of the placenta. Have to take blood thinners while pregnant and bed rest after 16 weeks! But this is the first time experiencing heart issues, on top of all that tell me I had a fibroid to I'm never had either before. Has anyone else experienced heart issues like this?

Hi. I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant. Baby has a healthy
Heatbeat. But for some reason I don't feel pregnant. I'm not spotting or cramping. Is it normal to feel like this in early pregnancy. Its my second baby after having a healthy girl nearly 21 years ago and after 3 miscarriages. Am I being crazy?

No I have not having much more than boobs being sore and a little  bloated feeling. I just now in the last week had some nausea just Lightly for a few days in the morning and feeling very tired. Everyone's a little different, as long as the heartbeats is good I wouldn't worry. As long as you have your blood work check to make sure your hormone levels are good.

Thank you, I have spoke with my OB GYN  and he is aware. I do have to continue following up with EP cardiologists. The baby is doing good so far. I guess I'll just be taking it one day at a time and hope for the best! I appreciate your input.

I have PVCs and PACs even when not pregnant. I had to get cleared by my Cardio and EP for my OBGYN. If need be they can absolutely give you beta blockers to help. The extra blood volume and work the heart has to do puts a much higher demand. You also have a huge surge of hormones and for many this can trigger an increase in heart "activity."

For some this levels out especially after the first trimester and you begin to feel somewhat normal again and it may spike again especially in the 3rd trimester.

An increase in this kind of activity is not uncommon at all. Have you spoken to your OBGYN about it? I wouldn't be surprised if they simply want you to follow up with a cardio.
