Low HCG, positive ultrasound

I am 38, obese and have had PCOS ever since I remember. On Dec 24. an HPT came positive, Dec 29 HCG was 2300, Jan 2 is was 3243, Jan 9, 4211, Jan 16 it was 5511. Obviously not doubling. Doc. put me on progesterone suppositories on Jan 9 bringing the level from 23.4 to 54.6. Had two ultrasounds - Jan 9 and Jan 16 - both showed fetal pole and strong heartbeat and showed one weeks growth. But the doc says while it should register 8 weeks growth, it is showing 7 weeks.

I have to go in every week till we know how this is going to turn out. I have not symptoms, no bleeding, nothing. Occasionally, I get tired faster than usual.  I am worried as hell and I am sure the stress is not helping any levels rise.

I am so desperately hanging on to hope - and am literally living my own life week to week.

Does anyone see any hope here?? Thanks

Thank you so much for your support. I hope you are right and pray that I will still manage to pull this one off.

Will keep you posted - my next appointment is on Friday, Jan 23.
With these freezing temperatures and grey skies, it is difficult to keep a bright outlook. Please pray for me. I need it.

I second Pamela...I have no clue what could be going on, but the u/s does seem positive! If there's a heartbeat, that's a good thing. And within a week, there was a week's growth, so that's good. Could you have conceived at a different time - maybe you're a week behind where you thought you were. Anyway...I'm keeping you in my thoughts - please keep us posted!

Oh, I'm sorry this is happening.  You're right, the HCG # not doubling is not a good sign, however the u/s looks hopeful.  I honestly couldn't tell you what is happening, but I do want to wish you well and please keep us posted!  Pam
