Welcome! I am 41 and ttc again. My story is alot like momof8215's. I have 3 children ages 21, 20 and 11. I lost a son in Oct.(I was almost 5 months along) and have been ttc since I got the ok from my Dr. I also had no problems getting pregnant. I'm trying to do this naturally, but if nothing soon I will weigh my other options. I wish you the best and hope you get a BFP very soon! Be in touch. Sending you tons of baby dust!

Hello there and Welcome to the forum.  I am 38yo and like you, me and my husband are TTC again.  I have a 6yo son. I was pregnant last Feb 9, 2009 but had a miscarriage after a week.  I'm still coping but I hope I can conceive this year again.  I'm desperately trying to have a baby like you.  Good luck to us!!! and best wishes.

Hi there and good luck to you too. I just turned 40 as well, but unlike all the ladies here this is TTC°1 for me, and I havent  been so lucky yet. I got pregnat 6 mths after TTC naturally and was I was very encouraged by the prospect that I had no evident fertility problems as such.

However unfortunatly I experiened a missed miscarriage, in which the embryo stopped growing at week 7. The doctors seem to think it's a pretty "normal" risk at our age, especially 1st timers and especialy so early in first trimeester.
Wasting no time to find out whether  this "normal risk" will happen again, so I am currently undgoing all the possible tests that are normally done after 3 consecutive m\c, in order to make sure there is no compelling cause (immune, chromosone or uterine).
Once I get the green light to restart TTC, I will turn to artificial insemination (IUI) only to avoid losing more time, and if that doesnt work, then maybe IVF.
It's very important to acknowledge the crucial time factor, because we simply cannot afford to lose more time...
Hope you get pregnant soon !
Good luck and all the best,

Anette

I am 43 and TTC baby #1.  I have been seeing a RE for the last seven months.  One major setback was I had to have a hysteroscopic myomectomy to remove fibroids that were causing problems, including blocking both of my fallopian tubes.  I had my surgery on Feb 24th.  I am hoping DH and I can start TTC  in April.  My RE plans to put me on clomid.  I would also like to have the hcg trigger shot and iui.  DH and I are hoping this will improve our chances.
