Trying to Concieve

I am trying to concieve from past six months but in vain. I have visited doctors and have confirmed everything is normal with me and my husband. My quenstion is -- is it safe / good  to have sex immdly after periods or just before due date; if you are trying to concieve. Is there any precautions we have to take. Thanks

Thanks for your comments.....

I was told that having sex immediately after period stops or before will ultimately not result in pregnancy even if tried during ovulation period. Pls advise...

I agree with Marie to try the OPK. I am not sure why you would want to try right before your period. You are not usually ovualting at that time.  Sending you best wishes.

If you're trying to concieve you should have sex about 14-16 days after your period starts, the middle of your cycle.  Having sex immediately after your period stops or before it comes might not result in a pregnancy but it could.  You could try an ovulation kit which will help you know when you are ovulating and then you can time sex more efficiently.  Usually, within a year of having unprotected sex, in a healthy couple, you will become pregnant regardless of timing.  Good luck to you!
