Melimel,
I am in the same boat as you. I had an induced VBAC 7 years ago, now the dr wont do induced anymore.........so NOW I am scheduled for C-sect this Friday!  The last c-sect I had was over 10  years ago and I cant remember much and plus I was in my 20s!!! lol  Good Luck....I do remember the Mammoth Pads that Kelly was talkin about though.............egads!

I was in labor with the first baby, and my water broke with the 2nd baby with only mild contractions, however both babies were big and neither dropped into the birth canal on their own, so they were both c-sections. That means this baby will most likely be a c-section too, around May 25th.

ok... I'm not due until may 30th but I am sure I will have a c section... my dr said they only do a vbac if I go into labor on my own which has never happened...  I just couldn't remember cuz its been almost 6 years...

I bled a bit in the Hospital and used their MAMOTH pads. I would bring some a bit smaller for comfort. Also, I think I only used a panty liner after that at home for a couple of weeks.
I remember thinking it was going to be horrible and was surprised that it wasn't that bad.

Yes, you do, usually for several weeks while your uterus sheds all the lining from the pregnancy.

Remember to take it easy and get lots of rest for those first few weeks after the c-section so you can heal faster. With my first, I tried to be supermom and I bled twice as long than with my 2nd when I actually rested and tried to nap while baby slept. Good luck!
