I will be rooting for you. My FSH is 9.3 and I have fibroids so I'm still going to try again and hope the fibroids are not near the lining of the uterus. Who knows why I miscarried but I want to make sure I rule everything out before giving up. I pray that we become pregnant again and carry to full term. We so deserve a happy ending to this saga
Take care and keep in touch

I got pg for the 1st time a month b4 my 41st bday. I m/c but it was not from an egg nor genetic issue. I was 12wks and they did testing on the baby boy and he was perfectly normal. The reason for the m/c was lifting too much. I have had 2 chem pgs since, which were likely from bad eggs. FSH is 7 and dr thinks there is plenty of hope for another healthy egg.

I'm 42 with an FSH of 15.  I'm in 2ww now, from my 4th IUI.  I'm 10dpo.  So, I'll keep you posted.  My dr. has said m/c over 40 is about a 1 in 3 chance.  I'm sorry about your m/c.  But, don't give up hope.

Good luck.

FYI, my FSH was higher than yours at 9.6.  My RE said anything below 10 is good.

Hang in there!  I kept telling myself it would all be worth it, and so far it is.

One of my friends just had her first baby recently at 45, another at 41.  The 41 year old had 3 m/cs before she finally caught a good egg.

Thanks for all the great info. I know it's possible I'm just feeling discouraged. My last fsh was 9.3 on the high side but docs say still okay. I was taking DHEA pills supposed to help improve egg quality it probably worked since I got pregnant for the first time since 4 1/2 years of trying. They say within 4 months of taking the DHEA pills there should be improvement in fsh level so I will see. I mean I also have fibroid issues and 1 tube so I am quite a mess BUT I refuse to give up just yet. once I'm over this miscarriage and my body is back in working order I am trying again and again until I have my baby.  I WILL be posting in the next few months letting you ladies know how well my pregnancy is going. :)... If I have no faith or hope then I have nothing.

Thanks ladies

I'm sorry you're going through this.  I had 10 mcs since my DD 3 1/2 years ago.  I am finally 27 weeks preg at age 40, so there is hope.  I knew there had to be one good egg left.

All my tests came back normal FYI.

Good luck to you.

My friend had her children at 38 and 41, with her own eggs and uneventful.  My grandmother had a child at 40 in 1959 (no fertility Tx back then).  There is still hope you can use your own eggs, everyone is different.  I'm still holding out for my own eggs at 40 even after 3 m/c.  There may still be good ones, just not as many.

Have you had your FSH and estrogen tested recently?  That could provide indication of ovarian reserve/quality.  Once your period comes back you should be able to have this done(day 2 or 3).

I went through countless infertility treatments with my now ex-husband including IVF with no success.  We eventually divorced when I was 36.  At age 38 I became pregnant much to my fiancee's and my surprise since I didn't think I could get pregnant, at least not without medical intervention.  I delivered my little boy at the age of 39.  In October I had a miscarriage (blighted ovum detected at 12 weeks)...it took 10 months to achieve that pregnancy.  I currently am pregnant again now (I just turned 42 three weeks ago) although I'm concerned it may not be a viable pregnancy since I should be 7 wks 2 days and am only measuring on vaginal u/s to be 5 wks 2 days.  Am scheduled for repeat u/s next Friday but I am  preparing myself mentally for the worst.  BUT, to anwer your question, YES of course you can get pregnant with your own eggs and even w/o any intervention...just the good old fashioned way :)  Good Luck!
