Venting

As if having fatigue, being nauseous, and swelling that is making my hands, ankles and shoulder joints hurt, I was told today by a co worker in another department that she over heard my supervisor and another co worker talking about my pregnancy.  They were saying that I was exaggerating my symptoms and using my pregnancy as an excuse not to pull my wieght at work and how they didn't think it was fair that everyone had to "take up my slack".  At first when I told my supervisor I was pregnant, she tried to have me put on medical leave or transferred to another department.  I do the same as always, the best I am physically capable of. My job does involve alot of walking and some carry and very light lifting, but I have already talked to my doctor and he has written two notes now saying that my baby is in no danger due to my job and what my standing, bending and lifting restrictions are.  I really want to enjoy this pregnancy, but at the same time I feel so picked on.  Some people!! Geez!!

Some people are just idiots.  Honestly.  I do not know the laws where you are, but here that would be considered discrimination and action could be taken.  Ignore them and just keep doing the best you can.  I hope if they are ever pregnant, no one treats them this way.  They are probably jealous.

That really stinks.  I am 9 wks & 1 day pregnant now with twins and I don't even want to say a word to anyone at my job until it becomes obvious.  I am going to try and get away with it for a while.  Otherwise I will have to probably deal with the same **** that you have to deal with now.  I am sorry that your co-workers are driving you nuts.  You have enough to worry about.  Just ignore everyone and walk away.  That's what I would do.  Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.
