uterus rupture?

I had my apt today with the maternal fedal medicine dr. Thru him I found out my uterus ruptured with my last pg. I was told it tore open due to the intensity of the contractions when i was in labor with my twins, but it looks like that dr tried to gloss over things since it was thier fault. Now they are telling me based on that I am at a very high risk for a rupture again this time. They want to watch this pg closely with sonograms every 2 weeks and with the progesteron shots they are hopen to do a c section at 34-35 weeks but will not allow me to go further than that. He said if my uterus ruptures again it could kill me and the baby. Has anyone ever had thier uterus ruptur? If anyone can share a similar experence or any info on this id very much apperciate it. Im 10w4d so I have a while to go but after todays apt im pretty worried.

There are women that have had a previous uterine rupture are able to go on to have healthy babies. If I understand correctly, there is only one baby in there this time, which helps this situation. 2 babies double the stretching of your uterus and puts you at more risk. This current pregnancy is not without some risk, but it sounds like your doctors are monitoring you closely to ensure a safe pregnancy. They are also smart in not putting you through labor and planning the c-section. You will likely have more strict guidelines and restrictions than normal pregnancies to ensure that you have minimal strain on your body. They may also suggest bedrest at some point as well to also reduce the train on your body. The sonograms will help monitor your baby and how your uterus is adjusting to pregnancy. If they have any concerns at any point, they can alert you right away and intervene if necessary.
Hope this helps, and we'll send prayers your way that all goes well.

Thank you for the information. I am only carring 1 this time around, and my twins even tho born at 31 weeks had the largest combined weight of all my pgs. I have been worring alot, the only info i can find online isnt that helpfull. My 9yr old was 6lb6oz, my 7yr old was 5lb10oz, and my twins were 3lb12oz and 3lb14oz, so combined they were over thier brothers by at least a pound.

I don't see how your uterus rupture was caused by your doctor.

Since your uterus did rupture once,  yes,  you are at great risk for it happening again.  Good that they're going to be proactive and not allow that to happen by doing a c-section early.

It was actually the rns fault because i was put in a room with an rn to be monitored while i was given meds to try to slow my contractions long enough to give me another round of steroid shots for the twins lung development. And for hours I told the rn my contractions were coming harder and closer togather, then there began a burning pain with each contraction and I all but begged for my dr but she kept repeating to me I was fine and she was monitoring my contractions on the screen. Finally I yelled at her to leave my room and get the dr, she didnt budge but the dr heard me from the hall and came in. Thats when he realised That baby A was crowning and rushed me to the next room for my csection, by the time they got me opened up I had allready ruptured. If they had listened to me telling them something was wrong and the meds werent stopping anything and brought the dr in it would have never happened.

My current dr is a specialist from Harrisburg Pa, he is the one that alerted me to this. We were never told there was a rupture or that it could be dangerous to become pg again. My local area isnt able to handle premies so I was rushed to the nearest hospital that could witch was in Hershey Pa. and my current dr is fairly annoyed with the previous drs actions.
