Question-Not pregnancy related

Hello all!  I have posted this question on the nutrition forum and haven't recevied an answer.  Hopefully one or some of you can help.

Is it ok to give a 2yr old a probiotic?  My 4yr old son takes one every other day, as advised by his ENT because he had a couple ear infections and it was recommended for overall health of the immune and digestive system.  He takes a very good probiotic (powder) from Klaire labs called Vital-10.  He takes 1/4 tsp mixed in food every other day.

I just wanted to know if I could start my daughter on it as well, just for the benefit.  Thanks!

Thank you!  Great link.  I did find out that it is safe to give her!

I have been giving Acidophilus (liquid form with strawberry or blueberry flavor) to my daughter since she was probably a year old, recommended by her pediatrician and yes, after several ear infections. At the time, she was taking massive antibiotics and so, her doctor recommended. I still give her occasionally - she will be nine years old next month.

I found a link that you may find interesting. Hope it's useful.
