irregular movements

Hi,
I am a 40 year old woman 32+4 days pregnant. I am pregnant with my second child, my first turns 17 in January. My memory from my first is different then my pregnancy now. My first I felt movement consistently from week 16 this one has been on and off up until some where in the mid 20's. I have been to 4 ultrasounds and every time they say he is doing fine. But he moves much less then my daughter did and although he does move everyday I can't seem to find any rhythm in his movements.  Does anyone else have this experience?

Your baby could also be on a different sleep pattern than you. His awake time may be while you're sleeping and he isn't big enough to really bother you right now. Walking and moving can lull him to sleep. If you're ever concerned try eating or drinking something cold and lie down for a while to see if that gets him moving.

My baby also has weird patterns of movement. She will have slow days to but there is always movement. It when you see a continual decrease in movement you should go to the doc. continual meaning less and less. Babys do sleep so they will have moments where they are quite. My Ob Has me doing kick counts each night to keep track of healthy fetal movement. Maybe you can ask your ob about this. Dont worry! im sure your baby is fine since he is moving! :)

Some babies just have irregular patterns of sleep. As long as he is still moving, he should be fine.
