irritated by maternity clothes!

I'm as plus size woman (18 before pregnancy, xl or 1x shirts) I'm so irritated with maternity clothes!! I was looking for dinner sheets at Motherhood Maternity and all they have are short, shorts. I am not afraid to admit that i should not wear shorts above the knee, esp short thigh ones. Not only that, i CAN NOT find any swim shorts that are not hoochie looking.you either get the skirt or shorter shorts. Who are there models, seriously!!!! Maternity clothes are all made for skinny women, i want to look cute and enjoy my pregnancy and i should be able to even if I'm not average size or a skinny mommy!!!

I wear my regular clothes with a belly band usually...so far its been working great. Belly bands are expendive but its way cheaper than buying a whole new wardrobe...

I'm average size, but I don't wear much of the crap out there right now either. Typically I've found elastic waisted skirts work best since they can stretch under the bump and for swim shorts I have the guys lace up shorts with a maternity top.

I have been wearing yoga pants from lane Bryant. They don't really have plus size maternity clothes unless you want to pay an arm and a leg.

Check out Old Navy. They have longer shorts in Maternity and they go up to size 18.

Motherhood Maternity clothes too run really big. I hit my local thrift store once a week and found lots of Maternity stuff for a third of the cost!

I don't even bother with maternity clothes, I usually wear 1x, but I just hit 3x with my bump. Its much cheaper, it seems like anything that has a label 'motherhood' or 'maternity' is double the price of anything else!
