yes you can. my sister in law got pregnat while she had the iud she they had to remove it or it could of hurt the baby. but yeaa you can get pregnant anytime not without the iud. as long as your trying lol.
Took me 5 months after my IUD was removed to get pregnant.
I had my IUD (Mirena) inserted on June 13, 2007 after I had my son and had it removed on July 2, 2009, it took me 43 days before I got my first period, and I know some women who it's taken 90+ days to receive their first period. Your body's just trying to get back to normal, I know how frustrating it can be while your sitting in lingo, not sure weather your pregnant or when your first period will show up, but try to be patient it will happen when the time is right! Also your body will play tricks on you after the removal that make you think that your pregnant, I myself went through these, and boy are they not fun, especially since period and pregnancy symptoms are so similar. Also I know a very few women who have gotten pregnant right away after removal, so anything is posible, but most Dr's will advise you to wait at least one cycle so that your uterus linning is thick to hold the baby. It took me almost 7 months till I finally got my BFP (Big Fat Positive). I am currently 26 weeks and 5 days pregnant with a healthy baby boy. Good luck and hope this helps!

P.S . You should join the group How long did it take you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal, the women on there are very supportive and helpful!
You CAN get pregnant right after removal of either one...BUT:
After you get a copper coil removed, most doctors tell you to wait 2 or 3 months to make sure that the excess copper is out of your body.
After you get a Mirena removed, you should wait a few months to regrow a nice, healthy uterine lining. Part of the way that the Mirena works is that it thins the uterine lining. If you do manage to conceive right after having it removed, there is a higher chance of miscarriage due to poor implantation.
Good luck to you!
Was it the chemical or copper IUD? That makes a big difference. Since you were using an IUD I assume you have been pregnant before?
