Great thing is during the first trimester and the second they have an ultrasound that goes along with blood work that may be almost as reliable as amnio yet less evasive (ask your doctor).

Also as far as Baby Daddy so long as the two of you can co-parent greatly that's the main issue.   It's all in the communication and how well you can work together during the times when you don't like each other as much.

1. How far along are you? 2. Don't worry about what society or anyone is thinking of you for not marrying your baby's daddy. As long as y'all love the baby and take care of the baby it's no one's business. Enjoy your miracle and your man.

I am 49, turning 50 in October.  I divorced last year, after a nasty two-year divorce process with my ex of 15 years.  We have two wonderful and beautiful sons.  My high school sweetheart and I just found out we were pregnant.  PREGNANT!  I'm scared but love the idea of another child.  My fears are: my sons will reject the option; I don't want to marry the father; how will everyone judge me and the baby; birth defects and raising a special-needs baby at my age and the possible effects on my sons, etc...
I need support and am keeping this a secret until  I can have an amnio to determine health.
