no movement at 18 weeks

I am 18 weeks and have yet to feel any flutters, bubbles, or butterflies of movement. My 13 wks sonogram showed her to be very active. I have Dr appt tomorrow and will be sure to ask, but has anyone else experienced feeling no movement at this stage? Don't know if it matters but I am 36 yoa and this is my first pregnancy.

Hi! Don't panic yet! Seriously, I'm at 35 weeks and most of the time I have to stop, go somewhere quiet, lay back and place my hands over my huge belly to know if there's movement!! It's been this way right from the start for some reason! I hated it at first because it worried me and I feel like I've missed out on something as everyone goes on about kicks and rolls but now I've just accepted that I just don't feel most movements  (some are unmistakable and others a tad painful but most are still indiscernible!) bit at least I know they are happening and so she's ok in there!! Looking forward to the coming out party now! :-)

I am 19 weeks today with a boy, first pregnancy, and have not felt anything yet....no morning sickness either.....a bit of cramping, fatigue, sore breasts....Had I not taken the pregnancy test or known my cycle, I would barely know I am pregnant....I have gained 8 lbs but since I am 5'9 and about 190 to start, I don't look preggers at all.
Hope to feel something soon

From what I read, 20 weeks is the average time so don't be worried. It'll happen soon :)

Completely normal. Really you don't have to worry about consistent movement until 28 weeks, then you start doing kick counts. I'm 36 as well and due any day now and I can remember early on not even feeling pregnant some days..try to enjoy it while you can :-)

Completely normal for a FTM especially. Try spending some quiet time reclined, at the same time everyday, have a snack and just relax...you may be able to sense some flickers or flutters.

Every woman and every pregnancy is different.  This is baby #6 for me, I didn't feel him until 20/21 weeks. My last one was around 14 weeks. Try not to stress over it too much.

I didn't feel my DD until 19 weeks (I had anterior placenta) and with this one I felt around 13 weeks. I've had friend who didn't feel anything until about 21-22 weeks though. It's different for everyone!

If the placenta is anterior you won't feel the kicks as early on as it softens the "blows." I had an anterior placenta with my son and didn't feel movement until 18 weeks. I'm 13 weeks now and feel flutters on occasion. If this is your first you'll feel things later than second+ time mamas.
