3 membrane sweep and nothing

so im so frustrated. im 39 weeks with my sec child ive had 3 membrane sweep to jump start labor because of medical problems. the sweeps didn't work for me all it did was give me some what of contractions and i lost my mucous plug the first time.... well my doctor was so positive that i would go into labor the first time since im 3 cm dilated and 100 % effective... but it hasn't work. so my doctor gave me a appointment for me to be induced today. when i got to my appointment they told me that they couldn't do it because the rooms were full and only allowing emergency patients only... my question is can they do that? and my other question is has anyone else have 3 membrane sweeps and didn't work or if it did how many did u have before u went into labor?

I have never had any of those things.  Keep in mind that your body is usually a much better judge of readiness for labor than either you or (believe it or not) your doctor.  A due date is simply an estimate.  I'm sure this may not be what you want to hear, but inducing pregnancy is very "stressful" on your baby, though many times it cannot be avoided.  In any case, I will send you calming, healing energy and hopes for a smooth delivery, however it comes about.  Namaste.

Drink some raspberry tea. Apparently helps to speed up labor.
