Progesterone to avoid miscarriage?

Ladies I have had two previous miscarriages and I'm worried that I may have another one. Have any of you taken progesterone I'm early phase of preganancy to help possibly avoid a miscarriage?

I had three miscarriages and doctors never recommended progesterone. I have a new doc with this pregnancy and was put on progesterone pills until week 10 & am now 36 weeks. Best wishes

I am also taking progesterone (vaginal) and will take until 12 weeks. Almost 10 weeks now. I had 3 prior early miscarriages and doc found I had very low progesterone. Hopeful that this will help me keep this pregnancy. :-)

After a preterm delivery and a still birth, Dr has prescribed progesterone shots for my 3rd prennancy and now my 4th one. With my 3rd I was able to deliver full term. So far for this pregnancy I'm 34 wks. I believe the progesterone shots really helps maintain the pregnancy. Best wishes with your pregnancy.

Yes. I have been taking progesterone prescribed by my doctor since about the 5th week of pregnancy. I had one miscarriage before my current pregnancy and if I did not begin taking the progesterone early during this pregnancy, I believe I may have lost this one as well. The hormone stopped the bleeding I was experiencing and has been protecting the baby until the placenta was formed.
