ovulation temp spike

So, I miscarried back in March and have been trying to get regular since then. I started using the Clearview minotor a few months ago and it worked fine. Then, this month I did not get a HIGH or PEAK reading and I am on day 20 (usually I ovulate about now). I did get a temp spike 2 days ago.  So, what do you all think? Do temps always spike at ovualtion time or could it be something else? I feel fine and it has been high 2 days in a row. Could the monitor not detect the hormones and I ovulate anyway?

Are you checking for the LH surge twice a day? If not, it's also possible you missed it. You may have O'd earlier in the month, but just for 12 hours or so. Or, like Amanda said, you may be ovulating now. Although it's not good, from what I have read, to ovulate so late in your cycle. But, it can't hurt to try. Happy New Year's BDing! ;-)

You bet...still trying regardless of the monitor not showing anything.
Happy 2009 to you!

So many outside things can influence your temp.  I would definatly not rely only on temp spike.  That being said, we don't always ovulate the same time every month.  It is possible you o'd early.  If this is the time you normally O I would be BDing now for sure.  Best of luck to you!!!
