small blood clot in uterus

I had an ultrasound done today at 5 weeks, my RE assured me everything looks very good. He did show a seperate smaller thing on the us that he said is either a vanishing twin or a blood clot. He assured me everything is fne and there's absolutely nothing to worry about. He also stated this is whats causing the spotting and may eventually bleed out or be absorbed in my body. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I dod a little research & I'm honestly somewhat relieved but I guess I will always be worried until I am holding my blessed bundle of joy...

Yes maam, you scared the heck out of me! LOL
I've been on progesterone since 4dpo due to 4 prior miscarriages. I had lots of test completed & was negative for blood clotting disorder. I was taking baby aspirin sparingly prior to conception. Do you think I should resume taking them? My RE insists that I not worry about the clot & not compare any of my recent pregnancies to this one because it appears to be progressing very well.

Oh good. I'm so glad he did that. It will help the baby stick. Unfortunately the idiots in the emergency room didn't tell me that was an option. I'm sure everything is going to be fine. I hope I didn't scare you.  Good luck and Goid bless.

I hate to be negative especially when you are so excited. If its a blood clot and you've been spotting its not very good.  Gosh I sound awful. I don't want to scare you. Did your doctor put you on progesterone and asprin? If not call now and make him put you on it. If it is a blood clot it can pull from the uterus and cause a miscarriage. It happened to me. Mine grew from a small spot in one week to the size of my hand.  Good luck and I hope I didn't upset you.  But you should know all the sides.

I don't have any experience or insight to this but just wanted to wish you all the best!  I hope you breeze through your pregnancy and that you have that bundle of love in your arms before you know it.  :)
