dilation

I had a strep b test today and it hurt and my Dr check my cervix I'm 90% percentile but not dilated now I have cramp when she checked me did she strip my membrane is that what happens when they check u

O ya i had that actually a couple weeks ago, but my dr didnt call it that. Just a bacteria test from my V nd A. It came back nd im in the clear. Thank gosh

I'm due the July 14th and am 36 weeks and they did my my test yesterday

the strep test is done at around 36 weeks. it's a test to see if your body has a bacteria than can be passed to ur baby during birth in the birth canal and it can be harmful. if you test positive while ur in labor they give you medicine in your IV.

Wut is this strep b test u all tlk about? I am 36 weeks 1 day. Im dilated at 11/2 cm. My due date is July 15th but im scheduled to b dilated July 8th. But nxt week at my appt my dr is going to scrape my membranes to speed up the process

Besides the strep test, I think she only checked you for dilation. ..wouldn't the doctor tell you if she stripped ur membrane..?
