sorry that was soaking not socking :)
I agree with the compression socks too. I am 39 weeks and have been wearing them for the past 5-6 weeks and find them very helpful, especially on long car rides. For the pain have you tried socking your feet and legs? I find soaking in a tub every night makes a big difference (although it is hard now to lie back so I just sit up to soak my legs. Using some kind of soothing mineral salts really help my legs. Epson salts works and is cheap but also very drying, I prefer one of the lavender mineral soaks like Dr. Teals which you can find in most drug stores. I have been going to discount stores and stocking up on whatever mineral salts they have.
Is your blood pressure high too? Try to lay down and relax with feet up if possible. I had pre-eclampsia with my first and it was scary. So be careful. And go to emergency or doc if you feel ill too.
Compression hose or compression socks work absolutely amazing. But you have to put them on first thing in the morning before you start swelling
Thanks.amarie...don't tjink I would get stockings on even got seam from trousers impressed on my legs... saw docs and they are bringing birth forward to next friday...si close it's scarey. Got to go to hospital tomorrow for checks again don't wana get precylamsia. ..
Whrn I had this issue with my ladt, I just switched to wearing ugly crock shoes...so ugly but comfortable. I haven't had that issue this time (yet) and I'm 35 w 3 d. The doctors often duguest wearing compression socks/hose, but I'm not sure how well it works.
Hang in there, you're almost done.
