She's Here!

Hi everyone!  I'm sorry I haven't been able to post earlier. Our baby girl arrived Monday, June 2nd. My due dates were May 25 and May 30th with a scheduled c-section date of June 6th. My water broke at 2:30am on Monday morning. Finally arrived at the hospital around 4am, with contractions starting to be very uncomfortable. She was born at 6:00 am via c-section. My doctor said my uterus was on the verge of rupturing on the previous scar tissue, so we were fortunate to have had the c-section just in time. Unfortunately, I was sick for the rest of Monday, throwing up or sleeping from all the medicine they were giving me to try and stop the throwing up. Since then, we've been doing very well.

Baby Kaylin was 9 pounds 12 ounces and 21 inches tall. She's wonderful and breastfeeding seems to be going great!

Thank you all during this amazing journey and best wishes to everyone . . . especially those still waiting to meet their little ones!

Thanks girls!  Kaylin has been sleeping great at night time and during the morning hours, and is more awake with lots of nursing sessions in the afternoon and evening, but if that is what is helping her sleep longer at night, its been working great.

After three babies, all 9 to 10 pounds, my doctor advised this to be our last because another baby this size would most likely be dangerous for my uterus to carry full term without complications. Three healthy babies, we are definitely blessed.

We are all enjoying our new little Kaylin! I'll try to post some pictures soon although I haven't been able to make it onto my computer very often these days. Best wishes to everyone!

P.S. I am thoroughly enjoying the Girl Scout cookies I had packed away at the top of our pantry, now that I don't have to get on that doctor's scale every week anymore! :-)
