PS there is two side effects to the medicines during the procedure there itchy nose and feeling sick if you tell them they will injected you at the time with medicine to counteract this but I got really itchy nose and face which eased off when they counteracted it with another injection.
Hi I am currently pregnant and have a 9mth old daughter who I had the exact same thing she wouldn't turn at all don't worry about it everything will be fine I didn t want a c section either but after it was fine recovered great and my wound was so low in my bikini line you can't even see it. Good luck :)
I had to have one with my son. He had gastroschesis so we knew a few months in advance. It wasnt bad at all. I was up walking right after i was brought back to my room. I was scared to go to the bathroom for a few days. They gave me plenty of supplements for that. It was difficult bending over which would have been the case either way. I was swollen for a couple days until i finally put on that stupid girdle my mom got me. That got me back in my clothes after a day or so. My only issue was the IV in my hand that blew and caused severe swelling and pain. I definitely hope to have a csection with this one.
Yeah
.they really helped me.2!...good luck 2 u!hope it goez well for both of us :)
Thank you so much for your question. I'm having my c section on the 16th and I'm a ftm as well I have no idea what to expect but reading these posts has helped.
I had a csection with my twins. It was an okay experience. I just don't like not being able to feel my body. I didn't feel anything as far as tugging or pressure people talk about. I did get nauseous after wards and they gave me medicine for it. As far as everything else it was good.
I had one as well because my daughter was too big to come down low enough try for a vaginal birth... I will keep this short. I had the best experience ever and I only asked for pain medication twice and both time were before I took a shower because I was scared it would hurt to wash myself. I plan to have this child the same. I have very low pain tolerance but I was so excited to finally be a mom that I just didn't need anything. Good luck to you.
Kk..haven't heard of.the peppermint oil thing..ill try it ;)
Tjnx
Thank u ladiez so.much..I.appreciate all ur words of experience and advice :)
Peppermint essential oil can help in turning your precious bundle. Make a rainbow. With the oil. On the top side if your belly. Your baby will turn away from the cold. Just a couple of drops. Make your u are using a pure essential oil and not a synthetic. My suggestion would be Doterra
I had my son with c section. I was only diliated 3 cm after being in labor for one day. when the doctor told me that my son heart beet was slowing and I should go with a c section. I was already given ebdural, and had my son while I wad a wake. I saw the cord going around my son's nick for sevral times. My doctor told later that they did not catch that with the ultrasound, and it was dangraus if I had a natural birth.
I was glad that I had my son safe.
I WAS 20 when I had my son, I was in collage, so I rest my self only for two week or less. And I recomend that you lsten to you doctor and dont move havey thing like what i did. And you will be fine
I had the very same experience with my last. She was breech and to top it off my fluid was very low too. My OB gave me a few tricks to try to increase fluid and encourage her to turn. Rest, elevation of the feet, frequent warm baths, lots of water intake. Over about a week and a half I did everything he said and increased my fluid but it wasn't enough. So I wound up having the c section which SaaS safer for my daughter as well as myself. I was scared $#!+less but I knew it was best. The prep wasn't as bad as I thought and the spinal didn't bother me because I was too focused on meeting my baby. The recovery was a bit of a struggle but once I could get up and walk, slowly, ever so slowly, the healing process started to get a little easier. I did live on my couch for a few days because my bed was too high for me to even think about climbing onto. Don't worry. Everything will be ok. Just remember what's best for you and baby and focus on the baby and you'll be 100% again before you know it. Also, pain meds will be your best friend for the first couple weeks after the c section.
The recovery wasn't too bad with me. It really only hurt when getting up. I had a csection with my first, it was a good experience. I am scheduled for another next Friday. I am also nervous and anxious but most of all excited to see son! Just keep your mind focused on seeing your baby for the first time. =)
I am going to have one too in a few weeks and its by choice..Everything is fine with the bby and i dnt really need to have it,its jst my personal choice to have it..I cannot bare the thought of heavey labour pains and pushing,i jst cnt..id rather feel whatever pain after seeing my bby and il knw its all worth it and again il have a nanny, mommy and hubby for those first weeks while im recovering ro help me..Goodluck ladies..
Just go in thinking positively! That you and baby will be ok. Just think, you'll have your baby in your arms if baby decides to turn last minute or not and that you have to have that c section. You've been waiting a long timer to hold your little one! Good luck and best wishes mama!! :)
Sorry my response was so long haha. I have more to my c section experience. After they brought me back to my room, baby was there with daddy getting checked out by one nurse and I was getting checked by my nurse. The nurse will come and check you about every 15 min, get you cleaned and changed. For me, the combination of the spinal and morphine made me really sick once it was starting to wear off. I got really nauseous and had horrible vomiting episodes where I could definitely feel the motion around my abdomen. It hurt. So again, definitely don't be afraid to ask for pain meds. I was also feeling itchy due to the morphine. So I got benadryl, meds for the nausea/ vomiting, and pain meds. I was so drowsy the rest of the day thanks to.the combination of meds (had my baby at 741 in the am). They woke me up every few hours to breastfeed my baby. But as soon as I fed her, I fell back asleep. I couldn't fight the benadryl lol. I did walk to the bathroom by the end of the morning nurses shift so if you can, definitely try walking asap.
Kk..Thank u!!:)..it really helps.2.kno what others had happen :)
I just had my c section last Wednesday so the experience is still fresh haha. But the first thing you do when you get up to the labor floor is get poked. At least for me they inserted an iv to get fluids started and they took some routine blood work including a type and screen to check your blood type. Then the doctor and anesthesiologist come in and explain everything again. They bring you into the room, get that spinal inserted. It works in like a min. Your legs start to get numb and then everything else follows. They lay you down and insert a catheter for your urine and hook you up to the monitors to keep checking your blood pressure and oxygen level. They might also give you some kind of pain medicine with the anesthesia. For me they gave me morphine. I started to feel nauseous after a few minutes of getting the meds. So def don't be afraid to let them know so they can give you something for that too. Everything happened pretty quickly once they started operating. You'll feel the tugging but that's it. We were done in about an hour.
Lol..good luck 2 u!!hope it goes well for both of us! Im ftm
.and I cant wait for my son 2 b here :)
I also need a csection.. Just need to remember that at the end of it we will have our babies, and if anyone ever says something negative to you just tell them to pull their heads in! Good luck!
Ok..good 2 know..just my whole pregnancy iv been researching stuff 2.do with vaginal.birth and now thats all.changed ...I dn5 kno anything about it..and I dont even know anyone personally who has had a c sec. ..thank u :)
I was with my first one but I was only 18 and they told my family it would be a 1 in a million chance I'd have him that night so they all went home...guess who was 1 in a mil. And emergency c-section. With my second I knew what to expect what to do and was focused and it helped bc i didn't even feel my spinal block. And the first one did but don't be so scared of that either it only takes a few seconds if you are completely still and then u can't feel anything.
Thank you!!:)..I really appriciate ur advice..im.really nervous...: /
I am so pleased that I had c-section with both my kids i know that's rare to hear with the longer recovery time but my secrets are as soon as u have a chance to get out of that bed and start walking do it! The more you walk the better you feel and the faster you go home because it jump starts you bowels and they won't let you leave without passing gas. Even if it's just to the bathroom door and back walk soon and often or every bathroom break. The first time you stand up take your pillow place it on your abdomen and kinda add pressure when you stand, makes it much less painful bc your new weight loss doesn't just come tumbling down on your incision.(didn't know that one with first pregnancy...ouch!) Be prepared for a painful spinal block they make u sit in an awkward position to stick you but just focus on being still focus on breathing and you'll do great. I have had 2 c-sections and worked at a hospital in post partum and this has worked most all my patients
