Stripped membranes(how soon for labor)
EXPERIENCED mom's only please. I'm 40w3d and just had my membranes stripped today. If I don't have him over the weekend I'll be induced Monday at 41w. How long does it take for labor to naturally start once membranes are stripped??
I had mine done on a friday, was dilated to i think 3cm, was told to go home n have sex. Followed advice, went into labour next day. It was my first child n i laboured for 16hrs at the hospital..but point is it worked for me and i had mine done at 39w 2 days
My membranes were swept twice with my first and it didn't do anything for me. I over carried a week.
Well sex out the question, no walking bc of swelling. I was at 2cm and doctor put me at a 3cm when she did sweep. No contractions yet. Wanted him to come naturally instead of induced....super nervous about being induced. First baby...
I had sweep done with 3 out of 4 babies.
#1 in labor 12hrs later already 3cm dilated
#3 24 hrs later 2cm
#4 30hrs later 2cm
Lots of sex, walking, and exercise ball

I had mine stripped at 40 weeks 2days... never went into Labor naturally. I went to the hospital at 42 weeks and had to have a c-section after 4 days of failed induction. Our best friends had it done and had her first baby girl 8 hours later! Everybody is different just stay positive and I'll send you some "go into labor" vibes! :)
