mucus plug 35 wks

So it looks like I lost my plug shortly ago, big blob of clear looking jiggly jello. No color or odor. 35 weeks. How big are they? Would I know if I lost all or part of it?  Do they always have color or is it normal to be clear? I feel achy and tender down low, but nothing else unusual. I have an ob appt Wednesday morning so I'll mention it then. Just curious about the timing and any info about them. At work now so no time for pulling out books or phone calls or internet research.  :D

I have lost my plug twice. One at 34 weeks in preterm labor and the other at 37 weeks and I'm currently at 38 weeks. Just remember your plug can regenerate if ur body isn't ready for labor completely. Keep an eye on things tho. <3 take care

I will be 35 weeks Thursday and I have lost some of mine last Thursday...i freaked out! Ever since I have been seeing small amounts of it but not every time. I called my obgyn and they said it's normal. I haven't seen any blood but do have an odor. Sorry tmi! They said it just means our cervix is opening and it's our body's way of getting ready for labor. They also said it doesn't mean we're going to go into labor right away..no one knows that but the baby! Our baby shower is the end of the week...knock on wood she stays in until then!!!
