Great tip thanks, I'm planning on breastfeeding but expressing is a good idea to have a back up.
If you plan to breast feed and are okay with giving your baby bottles of breast milk, I highly suggest getting a double electric pump. Because I only plan to breast feed for about a month, I didn't want to invest in a double electric pump (they can get pretty pricey and my insurance only covers $28). I didn't know the hospital I delivered at would rent one for about $55/month (I should have done better research!). It takes so long to pump with the single electric pump. After pumping for an hour, I only get 4 oz of milk. It's very time consuming and it would be nice to pump both sides at once.
