I wasn't allowed to eat after midnight the night before.  Doctor said food and drink can mess up the results.

I rat sugary cereal and failed! I didn't know I was going to do the glucose test, so I ate that! I had to go back and do the 3 hr, and I passed

You can still eat as you normally would except they do say don't eat an hour prior to the appt. Also they ask you to not eat or drinkanything rich with sugar cause uit can give a false reading on the test.

I was told not to fast, but to eat a protein rich breakfast  (eggs & bacon) beforehand with no carbs or sugars. Also, it was recommended to stay away from sweets for the day or two before the test.
