My dude was born at 34 weeks
Atreyu born 4/26/14 5 lbs 4 oz he was born at 34 weeks he had a great heart beat just some issues with his lungs hopefully he will be going home soon he is so cute I'm in love

Praying you get to take your baby home soon! My daughter was born at 34 weeks also even though we got to go home right away I was scared to take my new little tiny anywhere. It's a scary feeling to have a preemie but they do very well my daughter is now 8 and is a very smart out going little girl that is bigger that most 8 year olds her age. I guess my point is try not to worry and I know that's not easy and your baby should be home soon
My fiance and I picked Atreyu as our boy name too. Did anyone give you grief about it? Both of our families do not like the name. =/

So happy for you, though I know having to leave your baby and not being able to touch him whenever you want is the hardest thing in the world. Rest assured he is in the best hands, and while he is on the hospital's care you can recover and get better prepared to bring Atreyu home. I bet you weren't fully prepared at 34 weeks. I will keep baby boy, and you mom, in my prayers!
I have a question for you though. Were you able to get the steroid shots for his lungs? Also what symptoms of labor were you having? Another mom recently posted that she didn't have time to get the steroids. I know they significantly helped my daughter born at 32 weeks. I fear preterm labor again, and I have a 30% chance of it happening.
