confused?

Who are you allowing to be in the room? How do you go about setting up boundaries on visiting once baby is home?

Just me and my fiance, then my in-laws will head up once we call so my girls can meet their new sister :)
As far as visiting rules except for immediate family no visitors til a week after baby is born.

With my first it was my husband, grandmother, and was supposed to be her godmother but she fell asleep at her house so another friend took her spot. Turns out she was the most helpful.  Lol. This time its going to be my hubby, possibly my mother, and if she doesn't pass out again my best friend.

just to clarify , I could only have 2 in the room when I was getting ready to push.  before that anyone could come and go from the delivery room as long as I wasn't pushing. i think the waiting room was packed with my family that day.

Just hubby will be in the room when I deliver... my best friend will be watching my daughter while I'm in the hospital so she can come whenever... I will probably only allow a few visitors in the hospital- just close friends and my in-laws (who I dont care if I fall asleep in front of them)... my family lives out of state and will prob be coming a few days after she is born

I'm allowing my husband, and my mom. My sister would be there too but she is due a week before me and is having a scheduled c-section so she will already have my nephew.

My husband and my sister were there for the first 2 and will be there for this one. As for visiting I don't care who visits cause my hospital only allows 2 at a time so I know they won't stay long. I just want my 2 older children to see the baby first just us and my sis so she can take pictures of their first reactions to the baby. I have no problem telling people no :) you can also tell your nurses if u want visitors or not or certain ones and they will be the bad guy to tell them no :)

I have had 2 children and both times I allowed friends or family in whenever until it came time for hard labor. Just my hubby was in there with me. It made it easier to focus and bond with baby. True emotions shine! Once we got home we asked for 2 weeks to get into a schedule then we had a welcome home "party". Good luck!

I can have up to three in the room if it is vaginal but I only want my husband for the delivery. I think that our first baby will be a special time that he and I should share alone.  Maybe selfish and I dont know how my mom will react (she has seven grandkids and has watched them all being born). Other family can visit during labor but delivery is just for our little family

With my first I had my husband(ex husband now), my mom, my dad, and my mother in law. They were in the room through the whole labor except once the doctor said its time to push I kicked everyone out except my husband I wanted him to see our baby first.

With this one my boyfriend and anyone else who wants to be there can be I like the distractions and having a bunch if people cater to me. But again once its time to push everyone but my boyfriend will have to leave the room.

And visiting at the hospital never had a problem with it because most people only stay up to 30 minutes. But at home I'll just let them know if I'm up to visitors. I have no problem saying no to people.

I'm having my hubby, mom, and sister in there with me. I'm also known in my circle to be brutally honest to a fault so when I told everyone "bug me about it and I'll break your f*ckin nose" it wasn't a big surprise and no one was offended. I'm the last in my family and friends to get pregnant even though I'm one of the oldest so they understand. They've already been assigned a week day to call and ask about the baby once she's born. I did it in order of who still talks to me the most and has been there for me bc I feel they have priority over those 'some time friends' who just want to ooh and aah over something cute.

We can only have 2 people in the delivery room.  My plan is the same as last time, me hubby, and my mom.  ( She took photos when baby cam and was really helpful last time) My MIL will have to be on babysitting duty for my son.  After I'm sure all the family will be there just like last time.  they were there that day but then they left us alone for the next couple days so we could get used to everything.

I'm only allowing my fiance and mother in the delivery room... I don't want people to even know when I go into labor... My reason for doing that is because I don't like feeling crowded and I want us to be able to enjoy that special time together before everyone starts popping up. Im also really thinking about cutting out visitation all together. Being pregnant has made me very antisocial.

It's only my hubby and I. When ppl mention visiting I always say we'll see how I'm feeling and I'll call when I'm ready so then they know but usually I'm ready right away to show off my beautiful baby
