I was a 0 at 40 weeks. I told my doctor I didn't want to talk about being induced until 41 weeks. I went into labor at 40 weeks and 4 days. When I went to the hospital I was only a 2 baby was born 13 hours later.

I was 4cm last Monday.  Today I'm 38 weeks +2 days.  And I don't feel nothing different. I tried walking, massage and sex and nothing.  I just cramp for like an hour and then its stops. So I guess if she is not ready, she is not coming out

"Only" 5cm. Your halfway there! Being at a 5 is phenomenal. They consider you in the beginning stage of labor at 4. As stated above, you can go from nothing to baby in arms in a day. Dilating early just makes the extreme pain spread out more as oppose to going from 0 to 100 in a day. Ouch. But really it's not a precursor to baby coming sooner or later

You don't have to be induced once you reach your due date. You can keep going as long as it's safe. A due date is only an estimate.

Remember that while some women walk around at 2-3 cm for weeks, others can jump from nothing or not much to full blown labor within a few days (or less)! So don't feel too discouraged, it still could be soon! I was only 1 cm at 36+4 and will be checked again this Wednesday at 38+4, but I'm not basing when my baby will come off of that! At least you know things are moving in the right direction.
