17 weeks today.. ONION?! eww. ❤ what about you?!

wow, 17 weeks today & only 6 more days until we find out if we're having a beautiful baby girl OR a handsome little boy!!! I planned on finding out at our OB appointment that same day, but the nurse has already given me a heads up that we'll only be doing blood work & the usual ultrasound.. NO gender determination until around week 24.

well, this mama isn't waiting that long! so, I've scheduled a 2D scan for gender determination, we'll get a 10-15 minute scan, listen to the baby's heartbeat, a CD of the images, AND $10 off our next visit.. which will be between 25'ish-32'ish weeks when the baby has more body fat & defined face!!

"Baby A" is now about the size of an onion, which I've never liked haha, so we'll say he/she is the size of a GRAPEFRUIT according to my other app, and he/she's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to hard bone & the umbilical cord is getting thicker!!

what about you mommies?!! how far along are you??

awwwe, yay!!! & that is SO exciting! I just started my weekly picture taking last week.. I used a white dry-erase board, but we're going to get a black one so it shows up better on camera! I waited until the 16th week just to make sure things went well at the specialist regarding my cervix.. all of this is starting to feel so unreal!! lol

I'm 22+4 weeks. I guess I'm lucky to he a military spouse and that we get ours done at our 20 week. I would wait because the farther you are the more accurate the results. They can technically find out the gender at 12 weeks but it doesn't have a high accuracy rate. The accuracy rate goes up the farther along you are. At the same time, keep in mind that the baby may or may not be helpful. Both my girls crossed and tucked their legs to ensure it would be difficult for gender determination. This pregnancy I decided to just find out when the baby is born.

We found out at 18 weeks but it was not as obvious.  We just got another ultrasound done today and she was not very cooperative at all. She was all bundledso we saw but wwas not able to take a picture.  We did get a nice profile and could see he little nose! We are now 21weeks.

& since I'll be a day away from 18 weeks, they pretty much guarantee being able to determine the gender, AND if the baby doesn't cooperate we get to come back for free!! I just hope he/she isn't stubborn because I want to know THAT DAY!!!! lol (((:

I will be 16wks Monday and won't find out gender for another 6 wks after that...soo anxious to find out...ready to start shopping Lol no baby shower for me so I want to start as early as possible!! Congrats ladies!!!

Baby Emily is the size of a leek and causing me extreme discomfort... my coworkers think I'll have her this weekend but I think she will come next weekend. .. we shall see... :)
