19+5 and dilated

Hi all, went to L& D @ my hospital because I felt some vaginal pressure and some light cramping (I didn't know if it was gas or not) anyway, the doc told me I had dilated 1cm already. I'm now home on 'couch rest' until my nxt appt on Tuesday. Anyone ever experience this?

I remember you you're like one day behind me! Oh my goodness hun i really hope everything goes okay i don't understand why or how you can dialate if you have a cervical stitch in though! I've never had one before but with both of my previous pregnancies i started dialating at like 30 weeks by 32 weeks i was already at a3 and then the next week I was a 4 and i pretty much stayed at 4 for the next 5 weeks even though i continued having contractions every day several times a day get as much rest as you can get and drink as much water as possible too fix not drinking enough water will make you contract and walking a lot will too i wasn't able to walk for more than 20 minutes at a time without having really strong contractions i hope the rest of pregnancy goes better then this and your not forced into the hospital for a lengthy stay :( but stay off your feet and i really wish you the best!

Yea, I had a cervical stitch (cerclage) done April 4. Which is why I was surprised that I had dilated already. Desperately trying to avoid mandatory or hospitalized bed rest!

I did with my son, I was at a 2 by 24 weeks, then I stayed at a two. My husband was out of town for work and I was suppose to go visit him but the Dr told me I couldn't fly. At 39 weeks my Dr finally had to induce me.
I believe if you dilate to quickly to early they will stitch your cervix
