Thanks ladies for your input
I'm not going to lie, my periods used to be so heavy that the only thing that worked were depends. I only wore them at home and to bed though. I'm hoping that I can get by with pads after I give birth but if I have to I'll use a depend just to keep from ruining my clothes and bed linen. For ultrasounds, I've had three. One to see how far along I was. One for the anatomy scan. And my third was for the doctor to get a better look at his heart just to double check that he was developing correctly. Good luck!
Plus nobody is going to see me wearing diapers because my family doesn't allow me to do much standing the first few weeks of giving birth so by the time they let me be more independent I wont be bleeding heavily to need the depends.
I prefer the disposable underwear I don't like pads because I end up having stains from where the blood crawls out of the pad area and I hate how they get folded in weird ways. I wish we could use tampons.
I bleed sooooooo much after I had my daughter, I would bleed through my maxi over night pads onto my pants and it's just embarrassing and nasty. I never thought to use depends!!!! I might actually do that if I bleed as much this time that's a really good idea actually! But some people don't bleed much after it just depends on your body.
Well now not the last comment but the comment before.. lol
Lol at the last comment.. yes I would rather use pads not a diaper.. when you get old you
will have a chance to use a diaper again.. I will wait until that time I'm definitely in no rush...
I would do pads so I dnt gotta seat in a diaper (blood) nd I had 5 sonogram
I did pads with my first and depends with the second and third. It was just easier to not worry about that part while getting to know my babies. Some women don't bleed real heavy after birth, some you would think are dying. I fall into the later category and have chosen not to stress. If you choose pads, make sure they are in place and secure, also you tend to lose blood clots after birth and it can get really messy if you only have a pad. With the depends you just throw it all away and the mess stays contained.
I will be having 4 ultrasounds total. I had one at 8 weeks to determine my due date, one at 20 weeks-anatomy/gender scan, one at 31 weeks-4d ultrasound, and I will be having another around 38 weeks to estimate babies size for delivery.
I want to know about the depends! I think it would be better than huge pads! Lol
I don't know about the depends. I've heard about it, would love answers too.
As far as a sonogram I think the typical is two. I got 3, one at like 12 and then at 19/20 for the anatomy scan. My third one was only bc dr thought baby might be too big. They usually only do extra if you're high risk or they have a concern.
